Carron Grove

Carron Grove is our clubs oldest British outline ‘N’ gauge layout.    One picture below shows David Lind who designed and constructed this layout and can be seen carrying out some of the early work. Sadly David died in 2012 but he very much enjoyed building and running his first exhibition layout

There are two main running tracks with loops at the station. There is also a small loco depot and a fueling point at one end of the layout and a container depot at the other. Stock is modern image made up of block freight, DMU’s and HST’s

INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITION MANAGERS

This layout is 4.9M (16ft) long x 1.22M (4ft) wide and is operated from the rear

Minimum overall footprint for layout and working space is 6.12M (20ft) x 2.75M (9Ft) including a space for barriers at the front.

We have our own barriers if required and the layout can be transported in the club’s own trailer.

Minimum number of operators required is four.

The layout is currently available for exhibition use.
